What would the voyageur's world be without fun? While making all that hard labour a shade easier, leisure-time activities also allow us to explore the fur trade era on a lighter note.
- Music and celebration introduces the role of music on long journeys and at trading forts. Here you'll learn about the historical origins of voyageur music, as well as the variety of instruments they played.
- Songs of the voyageur takes us on a mini-tour through the voyageur musical repertoire. You'll hear a selection of songs about such topics as work, love and homesickness.
- Art and handicraft describes the variety of ways that voyageurs and Native peoples expressed their artistic talents.
